When asked why BLACC chose the platform for its launch, CEO Demetra Adams Davis said, “The Poetry and Art Competition is a fun way to bring attention to serious culture and community perspectives. It also provides an opportunity for all people of color to showcase their Talent. “

“As BLACC continues to expand, the framework needed to support these artists is also increasing. BLACC uplifts those looking for a powerful platform to showcase their art. We ask people to raise them too. They can do it by supporting this effort. “said Fran Briggs, BLACC Publicist.

BLACC wanted to have an impact that would counteract the negative atmosphere of today. We have identified five main areas of attraction and need for people, and in particular for people of color: construction, heritage, art, culture and community. To raise awareness and gain recognition for art, BLACC encourages young people and adults to have a positive impact on their heritage, culture and community by using their creative gifts. BLACC is a subsidiary of Gordavi, LLC, and was founded by Demetra Adams-Davis.
