Comparison of Rules and Entry Fees for Football Betting Contests – VSiN Exclusive News – News

August is known as the time for NFL preseason games, but it’s also known in Las Vegas as “football contest entry season.”

Registration for the city’s biggest competitions has been open for a few months, but a large majority of entries (around 75-80%) over the next two weekends in August before the late rush on the weekend of Labor Day and the week leading up to NFL Week 1 (and college contests that are also waiting for NFL Opening Weekend to begin).

Circa Sports and the Westgate SuperBook have upcoming events to encourage players to register early so they don’t get totally overwhelmed at the last minute.

For the uninitiated, registration for Nevada football competitions must be done in person at a physical casino. Games must be submitted weekly within that state’s borders, but out-of-state players can use a local proxy to submit picks as long as they register with them and authorize the proxy to put their weekly games. This is what has helped these competitions grow over the years.

Circa Sports, with its Circa Sports Million IV and Circa Survivor III (both with guaranteed prize pools of $6 million, meaning they need 6,000 entries each to meet those guarantees), hold weekends competitions sponsored by VSiN on August 12 and 13. August 19-20 and 26-27.

In addition to players registering in Circa Sportsbook (registration can also be done in Circa’s other downtown books at Golden Gate and D), Friday nights will include a cocktail party at BarCanada at D, as well as a meet-and-greet with Circa owner Derek Stevens and Mike Palm.

Circa also has a deal for those who buy a “full house” of the maximum of 3 Circa Sports Million entries and 6 Circa Survivor entries. You receive 3 nights at D (with the option to upgrade to Circa), plus daily admission to Stadium Swim at Circa. At the Proxy Appreciation Luncheon this year I asked if Circa could make a deal for those who don’t get a fill up and they are giving everyone else a casino rate at the D with any entry.
