Students across the country are invited to enter the National Agriculture Day Essay and Video Contest, sponsored by the Agriculture Council of America.
This year’s theme is “American Agriculture: Cultivating a Climate for Tomorrow”. The purpose of National Agriculture Day is to celebrate agriculture and help consumers better understand how farmers and the businesses that serve them produce abundant, healthy, nutritious and safe food while taking care of earth, paving the way for conservation and innovation for the health of our planet. and our families. This year, National Agriculture Day is March 22.
The competition, open to students in grades 9-12, is divided into two competition categories: written essay and video essay. Both are national competitions. Applicants can only submit one written essay and one video essay.
Applicants must compose an original written essay and/or video essay with limited guidance from adults, teachers, or agriculture industry professionals. Interviews with industry professionals are acceptable research. Contribution beyond research is unacceptable.
The Agriculture Council of America shall have the right to publish or duplicate any essay entered into the contest with the author’s name without payment to the author.

All entries must be received at the Agriculture Council of America office by January 31st.
The first place winner of the written essay and the first place winner of the video essay will be contacted in February by email.
