Temple Beth-El Magazine Awarded – Community News

Sheri ArbitalJacoby received first place in the Narrative-Travel category from the Long Island Press Club at the 2016 Media Awards.

Shema Magazine from Temple Beth-El of Great Neck won third place for the Society of Professional Journalists’ Press Club of Long Island Chapter Best Magazine, Sigma Delta Chi, at the 2021 PCLI Media Awards.

Editor-in-Chief Sheri ArbitalJacoby, Editor-in-Chief Len Schiff and Executive Director Stuart Botwinick have all been credited for their work on the Fall and Winter 2020 editions.

The award-winning issues can be read under the Media tab on the temple’s website at www.tbegreatneck.org. The latest Spring 2021 issue, which focuses on the future after the pandemic, can also be viewed.

Editor-in-chief Sheri ArbitalJacoby also won two other PCLI 2021 awards in the Health category. The first place went to The Immunity Series and the third place to “Plant-based nutrition for better family health” in The Well by Northwell.
