The Top 3 Cosplay Contest Winners At The Big Flint Comic Con And The Rest Of The Best

FLINT, MI — Cosplayers came out in full force to show off their creativity at Michigan’s biggest comic con of the summer. Really Cool Comic Con runs through Sunday, August 7 at the Dort Financial Center.

The event features celebrity guests, panels, games, and dozens of vendors selling art, collectibles, and more. Hundreds of dollars in cash and prizes were awarded to the top three winners of the adult cosplay contest held at the event on Saturday. Here are the top three along with the rest of the best.

Swartz Creek’s Brian (left) won first place as the Master Chief of “Halo” with an entirely homemade cosplay. In second was Jackson’s Sierra as Byleth from “Fire Emblem” who painstakingly crafted most of her costume. And third was audience favorite Melissa de Canton as Ursula from “The Little Mermaid,” who had a number of homemade details throughout her costume.

Honorable mentions from the cosplay contest were Flint’s Mark (left) as The Painter, a character appearing in Marvel Comics. He first appeared in Strange Tales #108. The other honorable mention was Jason de Lapeer who played the role of Thor.
