Maui Mayor Michael Victorino and the Maui Police and Fire Department have partnered with the Pacific Cancer Foundation to launch their annual “GO PINK!” Challenge” on Friday August 5th. The Pacific Cancer Foundation campaign raises funds and awareness for Maui’s cancer community.

“For years, Maui Public Safety has promoted the sale of GO PINK t-shirts in support of the Pacific Cancer Foundation. All proceeds benefit Maui County cancer patients and their caregivers,” said MFD Chief Brad Ventura.

Supporters can join the GO PINK! Challenge by:

1) Sending a logo for logo contest t-shirts – a first place plaque will be awarded.
2) Committing to buy a t-shirt of your favorite public safety employee.

“As Maui residents, each of us knows someone in our community who has been touched by cancer… some of us know loved ones and friends who are currently battling cancer or have lost their battle with cancer. cancer. And we also know of survivors,” MPD leader John Pelletier said.
